Meet the Team



Chief Executive Officer: Mark Aspenson, CEO of Avery Telehealth, which is part of the Avery Group, a privately held multimillion dollar healthcare company that started in 2003 and based in Scottsdale, AZ.  Mr. Aspenson is an expert in the area of readmissions, care transition planning and telehealth.  He has been published in HFM Magazine and often speaks nationally on these topics.  Mr. Aspenson was recognized as one of the top 35 entrepreneurs 35 and under.  He is cofounder of the Summit Group for top performers.  Mr. Aspenson is also on the Board of Directors for Interior Systems International.  Mr. Aspenson is an active member of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP).


Chief Medical Officer: Carrie Bordinko MD has worked in many capacities in her 23 years in the healthcare arena. As a practicing ER and primary care physician, and prior hospitalist, she possesses the unique insight into the entire acute care continuum and post acute caredischarge challenges faced by most hospital systems. Also working as a CMO responsible for overseeing medical operations for a Medicare managed care insurer, she was responsible for implementing and administering medical policies, disease and medical care management programs, integrating physician services, quality assurance, appeals and grievances, and regulatory compliance programs while insuring quality outcomes. Prior owner and VP of Operations for several homecare agencies throughout her career gives added insight in to the “business” of healthcare.



Clinical Operations Manager: Janeen VanVactor RN, BSN, CCM brings over 15 years of healthcare experience to her role. Her hospital based experience was obtained at a Level One Trauma and Teaching Hospital where she served as a charge nurse on the Trauma Medical- Surgical floor. For the last 11 years she worked in a variety of roles for a health management organization serving Fortune 500 companies across the U.S.  Her roles included: Utilization management, Case management and Disease management with the last 7 years being spent as Clinical Program Delivery Manager responsible for implementation and oversight of Health management programs and staff.


Partner: Bruce Lefco has over thirty years of experience in the healthcare arena.  He has proven experience in healthcare benefit consulting, senior leadership and health care mergers and acquisitions, working with both hospital systems and physicians. In 2006, Bruce co-f ounded, and was Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chairman of Health Payment Systems, Inc. Bruce worked with most of the large hospital systems in Wisconsin.  From 1996-2006, Bruce was President and Chief Executive Officer of HealthEOS by MultiPlan, Inc. (“HealthEOS”), which became Wisconsin’s largest PPO during his tenure, serving over one million Wisconsin lives.
